“Can you Hear Me Now?” Many of us today have a dependence on our wireless technology. As such we understand the importance of having full signal strength in order for our devices to work properly. In other words, the function is dependent upon proper connection. The body is much like our devices; its ability to function is directly dependent on our life’s energy connection. This connection communicates daily functions as well as repair and regrowth of all of the tissues, organs and systems of the body. The nerve system of the body acts as a global communication network system, receiving and sending messages of communication. This message results in adaptive changes in the body so each system will function at optimum in order to support the whole of the body.
Interference of this life’s energy signal is essentially like your wireless device, only receiving one or two bars. When the nerve system is interfered with the body’s abilities to function and repair are diminished. If allowed to stay in a state of fewer signals for a long period of time the body grows weaker and weaker eventually resulting in a process we call disease. Like the skull is there to protect the brain, the spinal vertebrae (bones) are there to protect the nerves coming from the brain to the body. As a result of bad life habits or traumas the functional movement of one of the 24 spinal vertebrae can be altered. This altered biomechanics of the spine is enough to change the tension on the nerves to effect the communication. Much like a guitar string can be too tight or to lose. We call the cause of this interference a subluxation. Gentle chiropractic adjustments to the spinal vertebrae have been shown to be enough to restore the communication and as a result restore the life energy, function and regrowth to optimum.
